Maccabi NL is The Netherlands’ leading Jewish Sports, Health and Wellbeing Charity. Our aim is to support the long-term future of Dutch Jewry by engaging and developing the entire Jewish Community with a broad range of sporting, educational, social and health and wellbeing activities, whilst promoting Jewish Identity and the centrality of Israel.
Maccabi NL encourages people of all ages, especially young people to participate in our broad range of projects, programmes and events. We uniquely reach right across the religious divide from secular to orthodox, to participate, and celebrate in Jewish life.
Maccabi is a global Movement operating in 80 countries and is well known for the Maccabiah Games the third largest sporting event in the world, which takes place every 4 years and is often referred to as the Jewish Olympics.
Whilst being a community organisation offering a broad width of programming, Sport is our USP and central to what Maccabi NL aims to deliver. In recent times we have developed many Sports Clubs under the Maccabi NL brand: football, judo, combat/self-defence, tennis, cycling, golf, hockey, karate, boxing, catchball, futsal, etc.
Maccabi NL produces projects, programmes and events to promote Jewish Life, Community togetherness, Sports that are good for health, and fun for all ages, with a special focus on young people. Our Plans for expansion are to grow beyond the city of Amsterdam, and to reach out to Jewish communities around The Netherlands.
